And after reading the contents, then it becomes clear, that the readers' knowledge of the puppet world will be visible from the conclusion after reading the Garudayana comic.

If someone says that this Garudayana comic is a puppet story, as usually performed in the puppet show, or like a puppet comic ever made by R. A. Kosasih half a century ago, that means that someone does not understand or less aware of the puppet thing. But if that someone says that the Garudayana is a story about an adventurous girl and the bird Garuda, that are featured in a puppet setting, that means he understands the puppet - at least, knows enough.

Illustration: Is YuniartoIllustration: Is YuniartoBecause, the Garudayana is indeed a story about an adventurous girl named Kinara and her Garuda friend, built in a puppet setting - exactly in the history of the Mahabharata. Or easily said, Is Yuniarto had created a character named Kinara and the bird Garuda, and then those characters were mixed or inserted into the puppet story - in the middle of the great history of the Mahabharata, to then perform their roles as the characters - who like adventure and search for treasures. But if you want to be more butter, it can also be said, Is Yuniarto had made a story about an adventurous girl, who likes hunting for treasure, and one day be friends with the bird Garuda - which certainly would help her a lot, and the story was made in the puppet setting in the Mahabharata. So, there it was, the comic puppet with the Tale of Garuda (Garudayana), with the main character Kinara and the bird Garuda.

That was a very genius way in creating such work with the special theme, with a very flexible target - because it can reach readers of almost all ages.

Who in the world is Kinara?

Kinara is a picture of an ordinary girl: independent and adventurous. She is not powerful as like most puppet characters. She is indeed brave, smart - of course, clever using the Krisbow of daggered handle, and enjoys her hobby of treasure hunting. In Garudayana she is presented as the adoptive granddaughter of Semar. So, it means that Kinara is also the foster sister of the clown-servants (Petruk, Gareng, and Bagong).

One day, in one of her adventures, Kinara found a golden Garuda egg. She treats the egg until it hatches. And since then, Kinara and the young Garuda often have their adventure together. They also meet frequently with the real puppet characters, like Gatotkaca, Arjuna, the Pandavas, Kuravas, as well as the giants. And it is definitely also be Kinara's adoptee grandfather, Semar, as well as her fun foster brothers.

What will be the end of Kinara and the bird Garuda's adventures? Well, that will only be God and Is Yuniarto himself who know. But certainly, the comic artist is working on the road for Kinara and the bird Garuda to continue to take part in various adventures, until finally there is the Bharatayudha War - and apparently they both will get involved in that great war, that will determine the fate of the Pandavas and Kuravas Family.

And ... it seems that in the Bharatayudha War, the fate of Kinara and the bird Garuda will also be determined.
