Photos: Safari TNOLPhotos: Safari TNOLFor dirt bike or motocross commuters in Greater Jakarta, Java and Sumatra, are familiar with this repair shop. Why? because it becomes one of the references to 'build', repair, or modify the dirt bike that was in the area.

No wonder, on weekends or holidays, this repair shop became a place for gathering of dirt bike commuters. Muara Motor, the service station located at Jalan Parung Serab, Tirtajaya Sukmajaya Depok. The owner of this shop is Didi Hermansyah (28), a native son of Ciamis, West Java.

Photos: Safari TNOLPhotos: Safari TNOLDidi start his dirt bike repair shop business for 6 years. He claimed to open a special workshop for dirt bike, after releasing his hobby to the jeep. Especially when he had an accident until his nose bones shifted.

"Having a hobby in the jeep also had to have big capital," he told TNOL.

Thanks to encouragement from both parents, Didi was switched from the jeep hobby into dirt bike, and working at a motorcycle repair shop in the area Ciledug Tangerang. Armed with a motorcycle engine control and the desire for independence, Didi was stopped at the workshop, and opened his own motorcycle repair shop in 2004.

The length of time to build dirt bike because of the various components of the framework until the engine must be changed according to the size or standard trail bike.

While the cost to build a dirt bike as a whole needs at least Rp50 million. Meanwhile, the cost required to make a dirt bike from a standard motorcycle worth for Rp5-6 million.

As a workshop with an initial capital of Rp30 million, Didi admit there are shortcomings in his shop. Among them, the problem of equipment, such as keys that are not complete and the space or place that is not adequate. From where inadequate dirt bike is much to be parked outside the area while waiting for their turn to 'handled."

Assisted by two mechanics, Jajang and Jaka Ria, each week workshop is dealing with at least 5-6 units dirt bike. While the types of motorcycle adventure which handled about 10 units each week.

Photos: Safari TNOLPhotos: Safari TNOLUniquely, to create the dirt bike, Didi only use simple measurement tools. Namely, just a long iron, called iron elbow. From the angle iron will be known position of the rear and front wheels properly.

"99 percent the size of this iron can be made a symmetrical trail bike."

He added, for dirt bike can still win the various events, in addition supported by a reliable jockey and well-maintained. At least, it takes a budget of Rp2 million for the engine, frame inspection, and buy a lubricant as well.

"That's not including the unexpected cost," he said.
