Beware of Critical Accident Spots in West Java!

There are more than a hundred critical accident spots in West Java ... Beware!
The West Java Regional Police has urged travelers to be wary of over a hundred critical spots of traffic accidents while traveling back for the homecoming of Eid al-Fitr. Along the path of the north, central, and southern highways of West Java, police have mapped about 112 critical traffic accident spots.
"Of the three highways, especially the southern path has the most critical points of accident," said Director of Traffic of West Java Regional Police, Commissioner Bimo Anggoroseno after the brief of Operasi Ketupat 2011 in the Gasibu Field, Bandung, West Java, some time ago.
From the data of the Operasi Ketupat this year, police have mapped at least there are 15 critical traffic accident spots in the northern coastal strip, 12 critical spots in the central lane, and the most, 85 locations in the southern highway.
West Java Police Chief, Inspector General Putut Eko Bayuseno urged travelers to reduce the potential for accidents since before and during driving. "Especially for the travelers who use motorcycles to be vigilant and very careful, because so far at every homecoming season, motorcycle accident and who were victims of the accidents have continued to increase," said Bimo.
Earlier, West Java Police Chief has also mentioned the need for early vigilance for drivers to anticipate the critical traffic accident spots. In addition to the southern highway, he asked for travelers in other highways not to reduce the cautious attitude.
In the north coastal strip, the critical traffic accident spots include the RMK intersection (Karawang), Srengseng-Patok Beusi-Pamanukan (Subang), Karang Anyar (Indramayu), Plumbon (Cirebon).
In the central lane such as the Cijantung and Bungur sari (Purwakarta), Cijambe-Cicenang (Subang), Jatiwangi-Kadipaten (Majalengka), Bandor Sawetan (Kuningan).
In the southern highway, critical traffic accident spots stretch from the City of Bogor, Cianjur, West Bandung, Cimahi, City of Bandung, Bandung Region, Garut up to Banjar. Along the highway which are the critical traffic accident spots such as the Ciloto-Puncak lane, Cianjur-Ciranjang, Cicalengka-Nagreg dan Gentong-Tasikmalaya lanes. **MS/Various sources (ms)
