Their thoughts are simple, inspired by the rock and roll music, then FOS band was formed with its own color. Now, FOS is ready to hit the homeland's music world...

The difficulties to find rock and roll band in Indonesia had inspired Aryo Wahab and Coki to make a rock and roll song. Under the plan, they would also make the video clip of the song. Then later, it would be shared on YouTube.

What they had dreamt came true. Over time, they thought to form a rock and roll band. They also named the band Free On Friday (FOS) in late 2006 with the personnel of Aryo Wahab (vocals), Coki (guitar), Bay (keyboards), Palo (bass) and Robby from Funky Kopral who assisted on drums.

Although founded since 2006, but the FOS has just released their album on February 2011. "We made a mini album contained six songs," added Aryo to TNOL at Jalan Taman Kemang I Kav. 11, Saturday (6/18).

Aryo, the vocalist of FOSThe six songs are Mamaku Bilang, Angel, Whats Going On, Dia Cewek Gue, Turn Night and Ga Normal. The six songs are not only tell the story of love, but FOS also brought up some social problems in the songs.

According to Aryo, some songs were written on personal experiences. The single Mamaku Bilang inspired by Aryo's own mother. At that time, Aryo whom still on high school often played at his friend's house until he forgot the time.

Well, on one occasion his mother asked him not too often being out with his friends, but to accompany his mother at home sometimes. "But I didn't want to; I immediately went up the three-wheeler to a friend's house. On the way, I got an uncomforted feeling. I remembered my mother and went home," explained Aryo.

Aryo's being straight home had great reception from his mother. Aryo could be like that because the strong message of his mother.

"It was quite rare of young people like that; it could be said of 1000 young people only a few people were aware enough," said Aryo smile. With the incident, Aryo regarded that success is not just being wealthy only.

Jamming in relaxed atmosphere...Rather, to fulfill the words from our parents could also be said to be successful. Besides Mamaku Bilang, other singles adapted from real life is Ga Normal. It tells about the life of a musician who frequently naps, wakes up at nights to work. Such activities are very different from other jobs, so it is considered not normal.

With the mini-album, FOS has performed in several places. Among others were in Jakarta and Bali. They also often perform in jam sessions with several bands. Those activities have not made Aryo Wahab overwhelmed. In fact, not only that Aryo has been busy in FOS, he has also been involved in another band, The Dance Company.

Each of the personnel of The Dance Company, said this father of three children, has understood each other. Moreover, they have different projects. "FOS was founded before The Dance Company. When we first met, we already have had projects on our own, so then we have built mutual understanding," said Aryo. FOS name itself was taken as the band's personnel often meet on Saturday. (Sbh)
