THE CONGESTION that hits Jakarta has made the society saturated with the atmosphere. Not surprisingly, many of those have missed the conditions of the countryside with green fields, shady trees, the sound of gurgling water and beautiful mountains.

Well, various alternatives have been done in order to get the atmosphere. One is through a concert titled Orkes Geseknya Indonesia 2011- Sa’Unine String Orchestra 'Buaian Sepanjang Masa' ('Cradle of All Time'), which will be held on November 11-12, 2011 in the Jakarta Arts Building (GKJ), Central Jakarta. Although the performance will be indoor, they will bring the feel of the outdoor.

They will conjure up the stage into a cool refreshing garden just like the square of the 'City of Apples', Batu, East Java. It will even bring the rural feel and shading trees. The audience also will also lulled by the chant-orchestra of Sa'Unine string orchestra from their first two albums, titled Masa Lalu Selalu Aktual and Buaian Sepanjang Masa ('Cradle of All Time').

According to Sa'Unine String Orchestra Conductor, Oni Krisnerwinto, the concept is deliberately promoted in order to create the impression among audiences to get familiar and close with the Sa'Unine String Orchestra personnel. "The casual concept feels more comfortable than formal," said Oni. Their concert will be enlivened by two famous bands' frontmen in Indonesia, Andra of Andra and The Backbone and Erros of Sheila On Seven (SO7).

They will play the popular traditional Indonesian songs that have been re-arranged by Sa'unine String Orchestra. The songs are, among others, Dibawah Sinar Bulan Purnama, Tak Lelo Ledhung, Ilir-ilir, Paris Barantai, Timang-timang, Nina Bobo, and many more. Also not to miss the soloists in the first and their second album, Silir Pujiwati and Sruti Respati that will sing their beautifully melodious voice. Through the concert, Sa'Unine String Orchestra was about to invite the audience to enter their childhood imaginations into the realm of thoughts.

For those who are interested in watching their actions at GKJ, can call +6285782989824 or +6221-7203055/7253410. The ticket priced IDR 170 thousand. Before performing at GKJ, they will do the promo on November 7, 2011 at the University of Indonesia, Depok and UPH, Tangerang.

The event will be held by Tembi Rumah Budaya (Cultural House, ed.). Sa'Unine String Orchestra itself is the Indonesian string orchestra that was established on June 9, 1992. The meaning of the word sa'unine (Javanese) in the Indonesian language means asal bunyi, or just be sounded, but by no means that music played only to bring up the musical instruments only. Rather, more emphasis on efforts to exploit all the stringed musical instrument sounds.  (ms)
