Good news for fans of One Piece series! Recently, the publisher Namco Bandai announced that their latest game One Piece: Gigant Battle which was released in the Japanese version, has been prepared for the Nintendo DS console with the European version that to be released in June 2011. As for the Asian market, is still awaiting further confirmation from Namco Bandai.

One Piece (ワンピース; wanpīsu) is an anime and manga series about a group of pirates led by a hilarious character Monkey D. Luffy who went looking for a legendary treasure called the One Piece. Created by Eiichiro Oda, the comic began in 1997 on the Shonen Jump published by Shueisha in Japan, and still continues.

Developed by Ganbarion, One Piece: Gigant Battle is an action fighting game featuring characters from the One Piece comic. The game still presens about the world of pirate theme as in the manga series, complete with the silliness, absurdity and evil intentions of the enemies. Also, added with the features of the environment settings that can be destroyed and a few mainstay moves of the characters.

To plot the story, this game will take players on adventure events ranging from Sabaondy Archipelago to the Marine Ford, which is the most important point of One Piece manga stories that have been famous worldwide.

In addition, in the Pirate Grand Prix mode, players will play the crew of the ship to explore the mainland, to handle a variety of missions and slid into the fiercest battles against tough enemies.
