Catherine (キャサリン; Kyasarin) is the latest game title that will be released from the team which also brings you the game series Persona (Atlus Persona Team). However, unlike Persona which was developed for all ages, Catherine brings a bit more adult themes and thrill. The plan, this game for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles will be released on February 17, 2011 in Japan, while for the American version still awaits further confirmation from Atlus.

It is told that Vincent, the main character of the game, is having a dilemma about the wedding with her girlfriend of five years, Katherine, who forces him to get married when he meets a beautiful but mysterious woman named Catherine (!). Vincent and the mysterious woman then gets closer, though their relationship seems a bit absurd.

Meanwhile, in the area where Vincent lives, there have been many cases where someone dies when sleeping, but with harrowing face. One weird similarity is, all the victims have been young men. This, then leads to speculation about the cause of death where if someone has a dream of falling, he will die if he does not wake up on time.

Since his meeting with Catherine, Vincent began to have nightmares every night. In his dream, he and several other men who are described as sheeps, have to flee from various creatures and terrible situations that try to kill them. If they die in the dream, then the same thing will also happen in the real world!

The game Catherine has quite a unique gameplay in which players must control the character of Vincent, to survive in his dreamworld along with keeping up his relationships with the two women in the real world.
