Recently, it has been reported that Petri Jarvilehto, one of the founders of the game developer company Remedy Entertainment, which is known for the Max Payne franchise and the Xbox 360 exclusive game Alan Wake, is now working with Rovio, the developer of the famous game Angry Birds. Petri joined Rovio as head of development division for the console version of the game.

The game Angry Birds has been regarded by many as the next Super Mario Bros. The game Angry Birds itself has received numerous credits from various sources, with a variety of series, awards and has been downloaded by more than 75 million times by users of iOS, Android, PC, Mac and PlayStation 3 around the world.

"We want to make Angry Birds into a franchise that can last a long time globally, and we see the console platform is capable of providing a more powerful influence and entertainment. Petri Jarvilehto has tremendous track records and we are glad to have him as the head of our console development," said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio.

Petri Jarvilehto also commented, "Angry Birds is one of the fastest growing game franchise in the world today. I think we are still in the early stages, and with the development of our console, we have the opportunity to create new gaming experiences."

In this February this game will release the Valentine's edition, of which will be followed by the release of Angry Birds Rio on March. The edition is to promote Rio, the latest animated movie from the makers of Ice Age that will be on the screens in April next year. **MS
