The Toyota Eco Island is the result of a collaboration between PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol as the land owner and PT Toyota-Astra Motor that developed and had the maintenance of the area.

ToyotaDesigned as a place for recreation and family education, Toyota Eco Island was built with the advanced aesthetics, zoning with lots of green open areas. The trees are not closely planted, so the children can safely play and explore there.

"We're not just planting, but also preserve it during the first two years of the tree growth. Because, those times are critical. The plants need full attention to flourish. After two years the plants will usually be strong enough and therefore we only need to have frequent maintenance such as watering," said Anton Jimmy Suwandi, Communications Department Manager of PT Toyota-Astra Motor.

He said that the process of the tree planting have been done since last year and the process of care and maintenance will last until next year.

The selected plants are the plants that have a habitat to live on the coast, as well as rare plants. At least, there are 50 species of rare plants that live in this region. It is expected that not only as a conservation effort, but it will also help the families to know the rare plants as part of Indonesia's natural resources that can not be seen elsewhere.

"The commitment to provide the best for customers and provide social benefits for our existence is the main capital to be able to promote the company," said Johnny again.
