Enjoying jazz at the mall/ Photos: Nopi TNOLTo enjoy jazz music, sometimes one must go to a cafe or come to the music performances. And, of course, we have to spend money. But, today, Jazz lovers don't need to worry about the cost, and don't need to wait for long time for a jazz concert.

Today, there's a community named Jajan Jazz [Jajan means snacking in Indonesia]  featuring every Friday night at Teraskota Mall located in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) from 08:00 to 10:00 pm. They perform around the mall to bring you some songs. Sometimes, they also bring special guest star. This action can be witnessed by visitors and residents of the hotel's shopping mall not far from the mall at no charge, or free.

This Jazz musicians perform in an open area and one with nature. While the audience, could listen to jazz music while enjoying the atmosphere of the night and eat food. Understandably, the show area adjacent to the place for eat.

Fadly Fuad..According to the Jajan Jazz responsible person, Yunus Arifin, they always bring a different theme every time they perform. Since the show is only every few days from Valentine's Day, they took the theme of So In Love.

The performing jazz musicians were Abe Simson Trio feat Bertha, Richard and Hos. In addition on Friday, The Jajan Jazz community also appears in the Jajan Park BSD every first week. 

Playing jazzAccording to the man who is also a pianits, the community begun when he and his neighbor frequently played jazz music on the roadside. They play jazz music every Sunday, over time they move to a saung [small house made of bamboo] located at the BSD housing.

"Eventually, we find a more fitting place, in jajan park. And we agreed to name the community as Jajan Jazz," Yunus told TNOL, on Friday evening (2/28).

Yunus Arifin, the responsible person for Jajan JazzThe community was officially established on March 12, 2006 with members of 15 people. During five years of existence, it members have reached 300 people. They are scattered in Bintaro, Pamulang, Ciputat and other areas. For those of you who are interested in joining this community can contact the Committee of Jajan Jazz Fadly Fuad.

Fadly said the members of this community not only people who can play only jazz music. Rather, who can not play music or just lovers of jazz music can join. Requirements to be a member to pay the registration fee of USD 75 thousand for members of the individual.

Bertha enliven the show..While the group consists of about three people, must pay 125 thousand. Later, they get a membership card which can be used to attend a variety of community activities of Jajan Jazz.

"Benefit of membership cards, they can attend regular and special activities for us, " said Fadly.

The regular event, like watching Jajan Jazz in the Jajan Park and Teraskota. While special events can attend the event and the anniversary gathering member.

"Last year, we were gathered at BSD Junction, while this year is still on preparation," said Fadly. (Subhan)
