The  4x 4 far produced in 1948 was to still exist up to now nothing but thanks to the attention of the Land Rover Club Indonesia (LRCI), which is an automotive enthusiast clubs particularly 4X4 Land Rover. The club was established in Jakarta on August 5, 1987 and has a secretariat at Jl Radio Dalam Raya No. 80, South Jakarta.

LRCI as a nonprofit club that has been registered on IMI DKI currently has a membership of 450 people scattered in several areas such as Greater Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, Sumatra (Bengkulu, Padang, Riau, Aceh ) and Kalimantan (Banjarmasin). LRCI also has members in the United States, Canada, Germany, Malaysia and Italy.

The members have a Land Rover LRCI with various types such as Series I, Series II, Series III, Stage I, Light-Weight, 101 Forward Control, Defender, Freelander, Range Rover Discovery, Military Type, and Special V. Modification

Before Hanung Wicaksono, LRCI has been led by some of management such as Endro Suprapto, Andiman Ahmad, Grepiong Kamil, and Hari Prasetyo. Organizing LRCI determined every three years in a democratic manner at the Annual General Meeting in August in conjunction with the celebration of the birthday club.

A unique community

Hanung Wicaksono..As the automotive community, LRCI has unique characteristics that differentiate it from other communities. Currently LRCI have a business entity in the form of cooperatives, to improve the prosperity and welfare of members LRCI.

LRCI Cooperative has implemented various programs, such as savings and loans. Currently the cooperative has a capital reached 50 million.

Another uniqueness, LRCI also formed LRCI Kids, the community of the children of the owner of Land Rover. There are many activities carried out LRCI Kids formed on September 4, 2004. Among the activities LRCI Kids is the introduction of natural, environmental protection and the introduction of "Safety Driving".

LRCI Kids had conducted many activities such as LRCI Kids in Bodogol Lido Sukabumi, LRCI Kids at Griya Alam, Ciganjur, Jakarta, and LRCI KIDS Go Green in Pesanggrahan Nature Tourism Park, Lebak Bulus.

Feature of the LRCI namely when doing social service for the survivors of natural disasters. LRCI always doing social work in post-disaster, ie when the victims have been forgotten, then LRCI will provide a variety of assistance required such as building houses, latrines, or school.

Even when the earth-quake hit Pangalengan, LRCI assisted one of the affected-villages. Therefore, the program carried out by LRCI could last longer since they provide sustainable program.
