Company, especially big companies, urgently needed corporate secretary. That's why this organization was formed, Indonesian Corporate Secretary Association (ICSA). Thus, the communication that exists in it could be properly channeled.

ICSA was established in April 2008. Before the ICSA, in year 2002 the Association of Indonesian Secretary Company had formed . But after entering a new board the name was changed to ICSA. This was done in order to removed the impression that secretary association is different that asecretary.

The goal of ICSA establishment is to prepare the new corporate secretary in opened companies and increasing their specialties. Since the corporate secretary should experienced in at least three fields, including financial, legal, and public relation.

By joining ICSA a corporate secretary could learn three those things even that they came from different background, since ICSA is carrying out routine activities such as seminars which invite experts of particular fields.

Not just companies can join in the ICSA but also every individual who has an interest in the corporate secretary.

According to Meri, the executive director of ICSA, the routine activities held by ICSA every month was carried out meeting on hot issues with the experts. Moreover, ICSA hold activities such as gathering in every 2 months. Social activities are also become the attention of ICSA, such as providing assistance to disaster.

No special requirement needed to join in ICSA. The company or individual could join by fill out the application and sent by e-mail or can also visit the ICSA secretariat in Plaza 3, Pondok Indah Blok D, No.03, Jl. Mariawalanda Maramis, South of Jakarta. Each member shall pay an annual fee worth for Rp1, 500,000.
