Sindikat KulinerCulinary is one subject that is always warm and engaging at any circles. It could even be said, nowadays the culinary business has bloomed everywhere, following the market demand that seems like very enthusiastic and never-ending. Some serve the traditional regional food, some choose the Chinese food, European food, and not even a little the ones that only serves snacks and light food, or even only drinks and all kinds of ice-mixed beverages.
Judging from the profits that can be earned - which at least 50%, not surprisingly that many people today are trying to speculate in the realm of culinary business. It's not enough just up to there, they are also trying to form various culinary entrepreneur communities, whose goals are clear for mutual supports and helping each other towards members.
Photo: Novriyadi/TNOLOne of the communities is Sindikat Kuliner (Culinary Syndicate, ed.) - a name that is quite 'unique' to a community of culinary entrepreneurs. The community whose members include culinary entrepreneurs in Bandung, West Java, was founded in September 2010, and currently has already had 30 members who have different kinds of businesses, ranging from grilled pomfret, chicken noodles, burgers, rizoles and others.
Initially, this community was a BlackBerry group only. Feeling they could fit and considered to be beneficial, then the number of members were quickly increased. And even today, the community has become one of the information center for those who seek good food in Bandung. Through their accounts on Twitter, a lot of people have seek and found information about where to find good, tasty and delicious foods.
"We've already had 3,000 people followers on Twitter," said Ray Roemano.
According to Ray, the purpose of establishing this community was to be a venue to communicate among the culinary entrepreneurs - who are members of this community, to help each other and share experiences on the culinary world.

"Nowadays, a lot of culinary varieties that spread in the society, for that we must be smart to deal with the market. Well, in this community we could share and learn how to sell our products better," Ray explained.
Once a week this community actively conducts a gathering. Well, at the gathering they usually share their experiences and knowledge about the culinary world, especially the problem of how to become a smart and powerful entrepreneur.
"The plan is, we will conduct a training regarding the good credit procedures, and make accounting management," explained Ray.
Although filled by fellow entrepreneurs, but Ray said that in their community tey don't seek to impose one another. In this community, instead they are very open to each other, and also try to give each other feedbacks if there is one of those in need.

Ray himself admitted that he has just joined the Sindikat Kuliner recently. But despite this, he has benefited greatly from this community. Here, he can sit and learn from fellow experienced culinary entrepreneurs.
Currently, Ray has become a well-known 'rizoles' businessman in Bandung. His business was named 'Risoles Melepuh' (Rizoles Blisters, ed.). Thanks to inputs from friends, and of course also coupled with hard work, Ray is now capable of producing 2000 pieces of rizoles in a month.
"Thank God, now I'm able to employ as many as 10 people," said Ray.
