On fire 290109/ Photo: AntaraOn fire 290109/ Photo: AntaraTo commemorate the 73rd anniversary of Antara News Agency, the Antara Journalistic Photo Gallery (GFJA) and the Antara Photo Coverage Division hold a photographic exhibition entitled '2009-2010 Flashback'. The event will be held from 17th December to 17th January in the GFJA Building, Jl. Antara #59, Pasar Baru, Jakarta.

This event displays the 55 works of Antara photojournalists during their assignment throughout Indonesia, within the period 2009 to 2010.

The displayed photographs are selected from thousands of photographs that had been broadcast between photos, through the wire-service network, in a period of two years,

According to him, this flashback exhibition is a photographic record of journalistic tradition that was held in the main showroom of GFJA in its early decades. The purpose of the event, nothing else is intended as a an appreciation to the works of the best  'Antara' photojournalists in every anniversary of Antara at December 13

Gayus trial 201010Gayus trial 201010At least 162 photographs depicting various events that have occurred in Indonesia are displayed on the exhibition, starting of political turmoil, economic, sports, arts and culture. Through the camera eye Antara photojournalists, the images looked so perfect and containing high value of news.

On the exhibition, there's also book launching in a same theme. The different is, the book contains of more than 242 the best works of Antara photojournalists.

The book is expected to be a form of contribution to the advancement of journalists Between photo journalistict and development in the country. It is plan, the book will be published annually.


And is expected to be a reference or a barometer on the development of photojournalism in the country.
